Yodeleh-hoo, yodeleh-hoo, yodel-eh!
The more seasoned visitors to our shop and site will recognize this game from the popular game show The Price is Right.
The contestant bids on three small prizes. For every dollar the contestant is away from the actual prices, a mountain climber takes one step up a mountain. If the mountain climber does not exceed 25 steps after the contestant has bid on all three prizes, then the contestant wins a bonus prize.
But, and here’s where it gets a little hairy, if our chosen contestant goes over 25 steps, our friendly mountain climber falls off the cliff and plummets to his or her death. Not a good way to end up, especially when you had hopes of obtaining high peaks and glorious rewards.
The reason I bring this up is because as we ascend this mountain that is our new website, I’ve taken several steps forward, many more back, then forward again, approaching the edge of the mountain, often pearing over the side, wondering whats down there, and then taking a coffee break.
Well, as the Beatles, and Wally Wallhanger reminds us time and time again, the best way to get by, and get high, is with a little help from our friends. Christina Entenmann, owner of local arts and entertainment paper LBSPY, has been lending her expertise and years of experience forward to us over the last week or so, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Things are moving along, times are getting easier and more comfortable, and spring is right around the corner. So here is to our new site, loving friends, and the customers, who, let’s face it, we wouldn’t be here without. A special thanks to LBSPY for helping us out with this site, and showing us that anything is possible, if you put your mind to it!
Working toward a goal,
