Snowshoeing after the Snowstorm

Over 2 feet of the heavy stuff, and we couldn’t be more excited. While others where still digging out their mini-vans and coupe de villes, we saddled up in our Toyota FJ and headed out to the wild white yonder.

First time this winter walking on the bigfoots, we snowshoed to our beloved Second Creek to take in the undisturbed and remote conditions. River, the wonder dog was loving the thick snowpack, plowing through the snow like a crazed and deranged Clydesdale.

Deer, squirrels, and birds of prey shared in our experience, adding to the wildness of the excursion. A great way to break the winter doldrums, getting out in the amplified snow pack was just what the doctor ordered. Here’s to more times of making the most of what you have! Giddy up
