Ironically, after preserving this Barred Owl moment with a Canon DSLR camera, we would go onto an unfortunate wildlife collision that resulted in the loss of a bird, and the utter destruction of a Toyota FJ’s front windshield. An even larger owl species, the Great Horned Owl that slammed into our SNO-mobile at 60 mph shook us up to say the least, but we all survived unscathed, at least physically. Hitting such a majestic creature is not the best fealing in the world. Neither is shelling out several hundred more dollars for another windshield. Stay safe my friends, and Happy 2015!
